The GEI program structures the courses and student teaching in a way that allowed me to see the ideas and theories from my coursework put into action in the classrooms at my placement schools. The MAT/GEI program allows you to obtain the necessary skills to become an educator and utilize resources and support from your classmates, professors, and supervisors to advance your career. The convenience of this program helps one gain a professional presence to lead a classroom as well as practice teaching in real classrooms in an internship that is longer than most programs.
