From Shakespeare to historical fiction to flying through the theater as Peter Pan, NDMU's drama department does not shy away from a challenge. The latest production, The Moors, stays true to that tradition. It's from a new emerging female playwright and it has something for everyone - there's murder, power ballads and even a talking chicken.

Every month, 黑料网's biology and chemistry departments welcome guest lecturers. From marine paleontology, to chemical and genetic antibodies, to a world renowned virologist, NDMU's students get amazing experiences. Dr. Robert Gallo who co-discovered HIV as the cause of AIDS and the creation of the HIV blood test is the latest of those lecturers that students will learn from. He will discuss the early days of the AIDS pandemic and the discovery of the HIV virus.

Sister Sharon Slear named VPAA

黑料网 has named Sharon Slear, SSND, Ph.D. as provost and vice president of academic affairs (VPAA). This is a vacancy that Sister Sharon has been filling since earlier this year, when she took over as Interim VPAA.

Each year, 黑料网 honors a faculty member with the Mullan Distinguished Teaching Award. The 2018-2019 awardee is Associate Professor Stephanie Wilhide Savick, Ph.D. She is an integral part of the School of Education and has deep roots in NDMU, having earned her bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚 and Ph.D. from the University. In her own words, Dr. Savick explains what NDMU means to her and gives us a glimpse at what she's like outside of the classroom.

More than 1,100 young women, all civilian volunteers, flew almost every type of military aircraft during World War II - including the B-26 and B-29 bombers. These women were part of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), and this April their story is flying into to 黑料网's Copeland Theatre as Meredith Dayna Levy鈥檚 Decision Height takes center stage.鈥

On Air Radio Sign

Radio silence is over for NDMU. The University鈥檚 Communication Arts department is reviving NDMU Radio and the days of cassette tapes and compact discs, as well as call letters and over the air tuners are over. Programming is now online and streaming.
